And does the sludge just disappear?... Well, yes, sort of! Technically speaking, the byproducts are carbon dioxide (little gas bubbles) and water.
Q: How much do I need to use? And can I use a higher dose so it will work faster? A: Use 1 scoop (half a pound) for every 1000 sqft of treatment area. The instructions on the back of the bucket explain exactly how to calculate. Using a higher dose could deplete the dissolved oxygen levels in the water, which could potentially kill some fish. However, our instructions do offer a more aggressive treatment option by treating the area twice a month (two weeks apart) instead of once a month.
